Johnson would drop him, cut him badly, and appear to outwork him... but he'd probably lose the decision and not get a rematch... Oh wait, that was the James Toney fight!

Johnson is probably good enough to go the distance, he was a very good underrated fighter. But Monzon is one of the finest ever...

Monzon in a boring 15 round UD. Johnson was a talented and durable fighter, but not an ATG like Monzon.

    Not an ATG like Monzon?

    Monzon fought Valdez*2 , Briscoe*2 , Benevenuti*2 , Griffith*2 , Tom Bethea , Napoles
& 4 what its worth a far past his prime Denny Moyer whom was not very good 2 begin with .
mainly welterweights & lightmiddleweights fighting above their w8.

Johnson fought Tarver , Toney , Jones Jr. , Jorge Castro*2 , Steve Collins , Sanderline Williams , John David Jackson , Lamar Parks & 4 what its worth stopped Ralph Ward whom had previously outpointed McClellan over 8 .

    mainly massive middleweights .

Who had d far better list of opponents? who fought more opponents in their best w8 and in their "backyard"?

But what does it matter who most rank higher 4 whatever twisted reasons that may b? (d answer iz bikoz azzers renk him hayer)

This question is about Monzon getting countered by a sharper, defensively superior, more mobile and harder hitting opponent, that was a lefty.

Monzon's judgement of distance, ring generalship and maximisation of reach were all the best there's been on film. He was almost supernatural in how calm he was able to remain in battle. That kind of composure James Toney used to catch up with Reggie, who to be fair was as slick as a greaseball in the early 90s. Reggie is obviously faster and a better mover, but Monzon is no Castro, and Reggie doesn't have a jab. It all kind of points to Monzon points or late stoppage, with Reggie doing well early on.

Monzon UD, Johnson was a good fighter but not near Monzon's class.

My chrome browser with a few configuration accommodations which make it very spyware suspect, but not super spyware suspect d wey it woz b4, does not allow me 2 red color d "Monzon is no Castro". I du agri wiz zat. No way Monzon cud last d distanc wiz Vassily Jirov @ 190 or stop Derrick Harmon @ 175 and Imamu Mayfield @ 190 , all while way past his time & w8
