This "Monzon by UD" talk is absurd.

Canelo with this pathetic stamina is NOT lasting 15 with Monzon.

Monzon by late TKO in a one sided fight.

A very one sided drubbing...and Monzon would have been seen as the stronger man in there.

I also think that, now that all the dust has settled from the GGG-Canelo fight, that Monzon would have beaten Golovkin much in the same way that he beat Bennie Briscoe in their '72 rematch. GGG has demonstrated that, although he can no longer be mentioned in the same breath as the middleweight elite of old,...he has got a very good chin, and that he would more than likely have gone the limit with Monzon, but that limit was 15, not 12 and very few boxers of history could go the 15 round distance as well as Monzon. In Golovkin, he wouldn't be facing a fighter as explosive and one shot powerful as Rodrigo Valdez, but if he did get one in on Carlos like Bad Bennie did in that 9th round of their bout, Monzon proved that not only was he able to take it, but that in seconds, he would be at it, tying up, frustrating and firing back at a likely befuddled Golovkin. Both Jacobs and Canelo were relative small fry compared to who Monzon faced in times of adversity. Monzon would have speared an oncoming GGG with jabs, uppercuts and right hands just like he did Briscoe (watch their '72 rematch), and would have owned the fight from the 10th round on IMO.

Can nobody even put forth a scenario for Canelo winning beyond diddling Monzon on the cards? This is a whitewash here o_O That said, Monzon UD. :aplastao: I think ginger makes the final bell, but he'd be full of lumps.

I don't know about that .. If Monzon even has the slightest suspension that Canelo is part of the Paparazzi, then Canelo is off to the hospital as well and fast..

Canelo doesn't go the distance with Valdez or Briscoe either.

It would be best if Canelo's mother wasn't at ringside for this fight because her son get's severe beating.

Canelo has nothing on Monzon. Can't outbox him, can't knock him out, can't lure Monzon into a brawl.
Everything will be on Monzon's terms.

Canelo marches forward as always, eating stiff jabs and laser right hands, never really getting set or having it his way. He eats punches until its stopped probably. I would be amazed to see him make it the full 15.

Monzon would punish Alvarez . Then stop him within 10 rds. Monzon was just a all around better fighter with physical advantages for bonus points. Monzon would have a 3 inch height advantage, more importantly, a 6 inch reach advantage. Much better power, better stamina, and much worse "intentions ".
Alvarez maybe slightly faster, but so was Napoles and Griffith, how much did that help them? And Alvarez isn't as skilled as those fighters were. It would add up to a very painful beat down for Alvarez. He wouldn't hear the final bell.

Monzón probably wins yes. But underrating a great modern athlete like canelo is ridiculous. The guy deserves credit and respet, he was able of taking the shots from a lhw puncher like kovalev being naturally much smaller. And of course that saul could go for 15 rounds. When a fighter is prepared for 12 rounds he trains at least for 15 in order to end to support well the last rounds.
