I agree with youur signature. That cowardly past prime welterweight only fought the GOAT middleweight one time. What a joke
agree with these but cant decide on hearns, would say monzon ko but fighting hearns is risky and he hasn't got marvin's chin or leonard's speed. if hearns could pace himself i could see a decision win. **** it, i dont know. he should beat leonard but so should hagler. ray has a chance
Monzon would beat John,Paul,George and Ringo. Oh....not that Fab 4 ? Monzon stops Hearns and Duran, and decisions the middleweight Leonard. Hagler's the most fascinating match up here. Still can't quite make my mind up.
I think Monzon beat them, may have some trouble with the flash and speed of SRL and Hagler a tough close fight, may be a series of 3 with Hagler...SRL but Monzon had the ability to beat them all Monzon was a true 160 elite fighter and so was Hagler but I think Monzon was the stronger attrition fighter and 15 rounds would favor him to edge the decision
:dealI agree with this Bummy,..I think Monzon beats them all, and like this: Monzon tko 9 Duran Monzon ko or tko Hearns 6 Monzon tko Leonard 13 Monzon w15 Hagler Duran and Hearns would be easier than you might think, Leonard would be whittled down in a war of attrition and Hagler would be the toughest of all, but Monzon out generals him over the 15 round distance.
I think Monzon beats them all, but his toughest fight would be against Hagler. They have weight divisions for a reason. And Monzon was a lanky middleweight.
Leonard would not even get in the ring with Monzon because as Champ, Monzon wouldn't default to thumbless gloves, 12 rds, or oversized ring.
Monzon was too big for three of those guys. Hagler would be a pick'em fight that would go 15 rounds and it would be a close bruising fight that could go either way depending on who was a little bit better that particular night. If forced to pick a winner I say Hagler over Monzon by close decision. Duran would have been way too small and I think Monzon stops him within 7 or 9 rds... Leonard's speed could give Monzon problems, but again, he's the smaller guy coming up, and Monzon was a big strong middle. Hard to say as Leonard never spent a long time at middleweight. Hearns for sure gets stopped in this one. Tommy was just not sturdy against the better ones. Just my thoughts...
He's too big for three of 'em but seeing as you pick Hagler to win you're saying he's too big for Hearns, a man who achieved top honours up at light heavyweight and was taller than Monzon by a couple of inches? I agree that Hearns gets beaten, but not because Monzon is too big for him.Virgil Hill wasn't too big for Hearns, nor was Denis Andries.
Monzon sweeps all 4. Hagler was the most real Middleweight of the 4. I think he can give a good fight, but Monzon preveils in the end Leonard and Hearns : Both are tall and long. I think they can play spoiiers, but would not favor them Duran dose not stand a chance.
