Monzon was a master in the art of avoidance. He stays away and peppers Tiger en route to a clear cut decision.
I have to go by a Carlos Monzon win on points. Carlos would use that long left jab as D. Tiger tries to move in for some work to the body of the taller Monzon, and Tiger would run into combinations by Carlos, it would look like the first Monzon vs Valdes fight in 1976.
Agree here. Carlos would establish the range and also catch tiger with that counter uppercut to the body. He was so good at connecting with that punch while his opponents were still in forward motion, adding to the damage
I picked Tiger because I didn’t think anyone else would. I felt sorry for the man. I’d pick Monzon by UD but Tiger would press the entire fight. The man was granite but the height and length of Monzon would be too much of an obstacle for Tiger to overcome.
