Any thoughts by anyone on power punching Carlos Morocho Hernandez?
He won the junior welter title back in January of '65 from Eddie Perkins by a split 15 round decision and lost it eventually to Sandro Lopopolo of Italy. The thing that I remember most about Carlos was that he was able to deck Jose Napoles back in '64 before losing a 6th round tko, when Jose really did a number on his ribs in a withering body attack that led to the ref stopping it in the 6th.
Hernandez also accomplished the feat of decking Nicolino Locche in the 2nd or 3rd of their 15 rounder that saw Locche return the favor twice in later rounds to win what was called "a rather easy decision".

Unfortunately the only thing I've seen of Carlos Hernandez is the washed up version that got picked apart by Ken Buchanan, but the amount of top fighters he ko'ed is pretty impressive: Kenny Lane, Carlos Teo Cruz, LC Morgan, Alfred Urbina, Paolo Rosi, Joe Brown and Davey Moore amongst others.

Would have loved to have seen a shootout between him and Kostya Tszyu.

Yes, right off the bat that's a good match.

Morocho really clocked Locche when he decked him from what I've read.
