just read the profile on this guy at fight news and just saw he was 4-0(4ko) he's 6'6 ,22 years old he from Puerto Rico, had an amature career of 93-9 and he's fighting at 175 lbs :shock::shock: insane 6'6 175lb. never seen him fight but i sure am intrested. has anyone seen him fight and do you thin he ca take over the division?
Don't know about him, but the 175 division is a bit of a strange one at the moment. Its all about whos going to challenge B-Hop, with it being either the winner of Johnson vs Dawson, Adamak at cruiser or a possibilty of Roy Jones. Below that you have Jean Pascal and Tavaris Cloud, both in there mid twenties. If this Negron guy takes it slow to get to the top I think he could achieve quite a bit. There are very few prospects in that divison to my knowladge. If I was his handlers I would keep him active and try to get him on Friday Night Fights for more exposure. A guy like that would get people talking for sure.
thats a big light heavyweight....havent seen or heard of him but id like to. i saw a 6'3" welterweight earlier this year who is 12-0 now i think, its weird seeing someone bigger than paul williams at that weight haha. his name is willie nelson as funny as that is.
I've heard he's a pretty promising prospect. He'll fight on the Oct. 10 Latin Fury PPV if I'm correct.
He was dropped in his last fight against blown out supermiddle Geonte Davis but koed him in the 2nd round...:huh
wellon the fightnews interviewhe was quoted as sying he was going to be fighting at 175. butyeah he has fought above 175. but Pavlik aslo fought above160 b4 settling down as MW champ
After watching the video, (the first time, I've even heard of the guy) I wasn't all that impressed. He seemed to fight a bit shorter then he should. That being said I realize that he's very green and that was video of him as an amateur. He's probably destine to be a heavyweight. Hopefully he keeps the hand speed but adds some power.
