A poinient reminder that Wlad is something of a dill. I believe the I.B.F offered sanctioning rights to the highest bidder, relating to home soil options. The Pineda crew offered the highest amount, thus securing the right to hold the battle on Colombian soil. Wharton, in his genius, contested the rights in court, leading to Tszyu's camp outlaying AU$700,00 to face the lanky Colombian in Oz... I sincerely doubt Tszyu would have taken home enough money to cover the taxi fare. $50G's to the Paramatta stadium??? What a bloody joke. A ludicrous fee.

Don King must have giggled quite often whilst dealing with Wharton.

LOL at using crushing victories like Judah, Mitchell, and Urkal to "discredit" Tszyu.

Your logic works both ways as well. How about the fact that fighters like McGirt and Hurtado have given Whitaker mountains of trouble by letting him come to them and using sneak lead rights from a variety of angles?

Ortiz one of THE greatest LW's of all time, and although he didn't do his best work at 140, I still rank him very high there too.....nothing looks good for Kosta in this fight, his patient approach and punch-picking would do nothing against the big, strong, swarming (if he wanted too) boxing (if he wanted to) or patient punch-picker (if he wanted too) Ortiz.

In other words, Ortiz wins whatever he decides to do.

Exacty.... even amatuer promotions demand a sizeable fee via the premises housing events... allowing the premise to take all reciepts for foods/ beverages etc in return. Hence, a duty is thrown to the premises to attract patrons to increase their own profit.

Hatton bout yes tszyu was outboxed but by a very good younger future hall of famer who has only one defeat to his current resume...Also Kostya's age and injuries had finally taken there toll..

Tszyu was never outboxed by Mitchell..He was beating mitchell on the cards before Mitchells injury in the firt bout..And we all know what happened in the 2nd bout.

Judah fight...No top clevel boxer would make those defensive mistakes.. Seen Lennox lewis gets iced twice through dodgy defence and he was pretty top class in my books...(just one example off the top of my head)

And the vince phillips bout was the same one Tszyu was winning on all the cards until the 10th round tko...

Im not saying that Tszyu would defeat Ortiz or sweet pea(how did he come up in this thread??lol)..Just found a some of your points off the markk.

The facts of the Phillips defeat are that he was sitting in the court house instead of training. They are the facts plain and simple. Stress weakens all men.

Ortiz's work at Jr welter was a bit so so early in his career but moving down he became an all time great fighter!
