Carlos Ortiz vs Pernell Whitaker

I think he loses to Whitaker. Probably around 8-4 type of decision.

 

I consider Ortiz a top 5 all time lightweight, but I consider Pea the #2 all time lightweight behind Duran.

HOWEVER, Ortiz gives Whitaker more problems than Chavez did.. but still I see the mastery of Whitaker winning out.

 

Definitely loses to whitaker, possibly worse than chavez!

 

Oddly enough, i do believe Chavez would have done better in a rematch against whitaker

 

No way, dont see it. Ortiz would not do well against whitaker in center of ring which is where fight would take place. His jab would not be as effective against whitakers south paw style and ortiz didn't bring the kind of pressure that chavez could bring.

 

I actually think chavez would have done far better against whitaker had they fought at 135
