I rate Duran a top 3 Lightweight and Ortiz a top 10 all time. Both Men could box and punch, and both could take a punch. Ortiz being a little more polished as a boxer and Duran a little quicker. I like Durans' aggressiveness and advantage in quickness. I'll take Duran in a close 15 Rd. decision.
I'd agree with that verdict. Ortiz would not be outclassed, but he'd have no significant advantages in his game that would allow him to beat a prime Duran, nor the style.

I still rate Duran as number 1 ATG at this weight, Ortiz possibly number 5 imo, thats just to give an idea of how high i regard both fighters, would be a great great fight, and would possibly invovle more tactical nouse than meets the eye, i just think that Duran would have the edge in a very close 1 here.
