How does the LW legend Carlos Ortiz fare against today's LW fighters such as Haney, Lomachenko, Tank, Kambosos, Garcia, Cruz, Lopez? Ortiz didn't possess the handspeed of Garcia, the power of Tank, the footwork of Loma, or the defensive slickness of Haney but he did have incredible ring IQ and an all-round game that made him so versatile and adaptable to any style that made him a complete fighter and great ring technician in the ring. For me Ortiz beats everyone convincingly, the only fighters being Loma and Devin Haney who could give Ortiz a lot of trouble. But even then Ortiz has shown to be able to beat speedy southpaws and slick boxers. This content is protected
Sucks that he's not that known to the casuals, he's the epitome of a sweet scientist. A real ring generalship who makes such subtle movements with no flash or bang, just a thinking fighter who can do anything in the ring. I have no doubt that he would clean out the division if he were to have fought today.
