How does Palomino do against the top 2014 welterweights? Floyd Mayweather Jr. Manny Pacquiao Kell Brook Amir Khan Timothy Bradley Juan Manuel Marquez Shawn Porter Keith Thurman
I think he'd beat everyone on that list. 2014 Floyd and Manny are way past their primes, and Palomino was simply a better fighter than every other guy on that list. Way too strong for Marquez, and too good for the rest.
:goodCheers. Fading Carlos lost a split decision to prime Wilfred Benitez in Wilfred's hometown of San Juan. Very interesting stuff.
I don't know. Palomino is flat-footed and hittable and doesn't have killer power. I think that Floyd would use his legs and superior speed & reflexes to outpoint him, Pacquiao would ambush him from all angles, and guys like Thurman and Porter would land some very big shots on his jaw. I'd like Palomino's chances better against Bradley and Marquez (don't hit hard enough at 147) and Brook.
Carlos was more rugged than Thurman and Porter, and Porter is a bit too amateurish. I believe Carlos beats them both convincingly.
try armando muniz too.muniz was as hard as nails but palomino stopped him. I couldn't see any Welter there's ever been stopping palomino, he was one tough hombre
Off topic but, are you from Manchester by any chance? I was just over there for the rugby WC. I was staying on Kipling Street. Not sure if that's Upper Broughton or Salford.
I agree that he was probably more rugged than them and more polished/smoother than Porter. That being said, Thurman has very good power & skills, and does very well against straight-ahead boxers like Palomino. Porter is a dangerous matchup because of Palomino's flat-footed style and his lack of a consistent jab. I could certainly see Palomino winning either fight but neither is a foregone conclusion to me.
Cheers:good I noticed Bolton is considered the greater Manchester area. Isn't Khan from Bolton? Once more and I won't bother you with off topic stuff, but didn't Brad Friedel play for Bolton as well?
