Carlos Palomino v Ricky Hatton

    Palomino was a class act you'd have to fancy him here, especially as Ricky was at his best at Light Welter.
    Having said that it must be remembered that Palomino was losing the fight against the crude Green and needed the knock out.
    I think Hatton could definitely have given Carlos a lot of trouble he was faster than Green and overall I think his chin was a bit better.

    Carlos was naturally bigger and far more rugged than both Green and Hatton

    Agreed.much as I think Hatton was underrated, I think palomino was a nut that even the top welters wouldn't be able to crack
    I reckon in an exciting match up between 2 top body punchers, palomino would grind the manc away in 10.

    Davey Boy put up a helluva s****. He's remembered more for his one-punch kO at the hands of Sugar Ray, but Green was a tough nut to crack.
