I think you're too hung up on this "20's" thing. As you should already know, boxing ability and "primes" have zero to do with chronological age. Benitez was 25 when he was cooked, totally done. In your book though, he should have no excuses, right? 20's and all......

    Patently ridiculous.

I'll go with Palomino to notch a split decision over 15, I think it will be very close with Carlos landing the harder shots. But could go either way

I liked both, but remember Palomino wore down an upright John H. Stracey with devastating body shots, especially with that left hook of his.

Oh please. Benitez was a top fighter for seven or eight years. Farts linger in the air longer than Curry's supposed prime. His prime is essentially the McCrory fight. That's it. Any ordinary to bad outing anyone brings up and it's "well, he was green" or "he wasn't prime anymore."

Curry wasn't as good as Palomino.

Oh please yourself. Curry was the best welter in the world from at least '83 to the point of the Honeyghan loss. If YOUR farts linger that long, might wanna have a doctor check look into that.

At least 83? You mean he was the best even before that?

I had no idea when I was watching Curry vs Jake Torrence and Curry getting floored and bashed around by Hwang on a couple of ESPN shows I was watching the best welter in the whole world.

    Palomino was better.

Palomino was going life and death with guys like Stracey, Green, Muniz etc; while good fighters, it's not a good look if you're after beating Donald Curry.

Also, Curry looked brilliant vs LaRocca, Starling II, Jones, Stafford, Diaz AND McCrory. His prime didn't last long, but at least he was consistent, and consistently turning out outstanding performances. Also, I'm fairly certain having four hundred amateur fights is a fairly good reason as to why you'd have a short prime.

I'm sure you must have missed Palomino vs Muniz or Green or Stracey.

Because he completely dominated such great, great fighters.

Getting stopped by Lloyd Honeyghan isn't a good look if you want to claim you can beat Carlos Palomino, either.

Palomino lost his belt via decision to an absolute peak Benitez in San Juan.

Palomino never went back to his corner after six rounds with Benitez and Duran and said I'm through, like Curry did against Lloyd Honeyghan.

Not a good look if you want to claim you can beat Palomino.

Nobody takes things as dramatically out of context who isn't a troll. Or just uneducated. Anyone's guess as to which you are. Kind of disinterested in discussing this with you now.

The people picking Palomino aren't insisting we only look at Carlos from this month to this month, because if we look farther than that, he just falls apart.

The trolls are people who rave about Curry's fight with McCrory like he was fighting some great, then insist we all ignore his loss nine months later. And the loss the summer after that. And the loss after that because apparently he wasn't prime anymore.

And if anyone brings those losses up, personsal insults follow.

Palomino was better, warts and all.

And if Curry fought Palomino, his 400 amateur fights would've all caught up with him on that night.

Lloyd was a heck of fighter and in someways underrated. He had underrated speed and power. His defense was never too great, but his offense was underrated. Fast hands and combinations and strong legs which is where his power came from.

Curry was a top prospect even in the unpaid ranks.
Lewis beat Palamino bit didn't get the decision.
Curry hits harder then Palamino and is alot faster.
Palamino struggled with Green who Leonard smoked in 4- Curry would have gotten Green out with in 8.
