Paul Williams probably looked over at the southpaw style
of Quintana and said: WTF is that..."I'm" the one
who suppose to have the big advantage over my opponent.

Then Paul started getting slapped up aside the head
for the rest of the night.

Welcome to the real world Williams.

WILLIAMS WAS JUST A HYPE AND IS OBVIOUSLY NOT REAL...QUINTANA DOESNT DESERVE A SHOT AT ANYONE REALLY--THE ONLY TWO TRUE WELTERWEIGHTS IN THIS DIVISION ARE MIGUEL COTTO AND FLOYD MAYWEATHER...THE WINNER OF THERE FIGHT WILL TAKE ALL WHEN IT HAPPENS

1ST COTTO HAS TO BEAT GOMEZ AND FLOYD HAS TO GET THROUGH OSCAR IN SEPTEMBER...

AND THAT WONT BE EASY ON EITHER MANS PART

have u ever prepared for a bout? Even in top amateur competition (LET ALONE A WORLD TITLE FIGHT) your opponents stance plays a major role in preparation. For example, all of Williams sparring partners were southpaws. Post after post you hug PW's nuts like no other. Newbie boxing fans these days...

hey at least he is defending williams...I guess thats a good fan but the reality is reality. He got spanked..And once and for all...PW has NO BUSINESS fighting at 147lbs. If he values his career he will move up in weight. He is weight draining to the point where he can't even move in the ring. His thin legs look BAD man really BAD.

Thats fine I agree he should move up...to many boxers have died lately...I dont want him to be one of them.

154 pounds should be where we see him next...he looked awful..he looked drained..he looked weak.....

It's not about age, it's about experience.

Great fighters adapt, change gameplan when their original gameplan fails...they improvise.

I criticize you because you hold Paul Williams in such high regard even after such a humbling loss...and yes it's humbling when "the most feared man in the sport" with a 10 inch reach advantage loses his 2nd world title fight to a guy blown out by the real deal. Paul Williams isn't the real deal, never was, and those who bought into it haven't followed the sport long enough to understand his weaknesses. He's inaccurate, allows fighters to get inside ruining his reach advantage, and he lacks power. You bought the hype...and instead of being humbled, you stick by him like he's an ATG. Yeah, he'll come back and do well, but he's not who you think he is...you're ignorant, you're ignoring his weaknesses. I think Paul Williams knows more about boxing than you, and if he wasn't going to eat leather lowering his chin to hit the body (again giving up his height advantage) he would have. And that's coming from a 6'1" southpaw 154 lb'er...myself. If i dip to throw body shots on a a guy of Quintana's height, i expose the opposing side on my body and bring my neck and head right into his ideal punching range.

Not about age...it's experience in the sport and having followed the sport long enough to see hyped commodities like Williams come and go. The guy doesn't have all the goods man, he just doesn't have em.

It's one thing to be a fan, and it's another to be ignorant of his weaknesses. That's why there's guys like PacDbest and Orishaman, they can't take a step back and objectively analyze a fighter because of their mancrush.

But no, Paul clearly can't make 147 anymore, and that's the price you pay when you cut that much weight just to have greater physical advantages over smaller opponents.

He's bound for 160 with his frame. 154 isn't much more weight cut when you gain 18 pounds from weigh-in to fight time. He's a larger fighter, fighting smaller fighters. He'll have a year or two-year campaign at 154 before he can't make it anymore, and then he's at 160. Can you really see him hanging with the Pavlik's, Taylor's, or even Andy Lee's of the world? I can't.

dude I think he should move all the way the **** up to 175lbs. he has the frame for it...he definitely has the upper body for it and then he will be able to put on some meat on those bird legs of his. Trust me when I say that he will look weak at 154lbs too, not as weak but still weak.

He's spent most of his life taking punches from smaller guys. It's really going to be a different world from 160 on. 175 is a lot of weight to gain and still perform at the athletic level he's competed his whole life.
