Carlos Takam continues to be the most underappreciated heavy in the sport

    Yep he does get underrated. I went through a similar situation prior to the Parker fight with people saying he was garbage. Even after he gave Parker a tough fight people were saying he was a gatekeeper or journeymen lol.

    Honestly you only need to see what he did against Povetkin to know he has some good skills. He has good head and upper body movement making him hard to get to, his foot work is very underrated and he's a sneaky counter puncher.

    So many people expected him to just plow forward like Chisora does clearly have never really watched him box or at least never broke down his style. Only time he ever really just pressured a guy non stop was Thompson because Thompson didn't have the power to keep him off him. Whenever Takam faces a puncher he's far more defensive and picks his spots to counter as he pressures.

    He just lacks the power and size to beat the top guys but he always gives a good account of himself, he's no pushover and is usually in shape.

    Not any more. If you don't have Takam in your top ten by now then YDKSAB :deal:

    Where are all the folks saying that the likes of Breazeale, Whyte, Chisora and Browne etc etc would destroy him? :copas:
