First thought is not really a bad fight Takam has proved how resilient he can be, I think he earnt a lot of respect in the Joshua fight and most wouldlnt mind seeing him fight chisora, who himself hasn't been on form as much lately , good fight to see what chisoras got left if anything
He is due to fight next weekend v TBA. Would put him back in the mix if he gets the win but likely another long hard fight for del boy. 5th May would be on the Bellew v Haye undercard.
Boxrec has Chisora facing a TBA on 24/03 then facing Joyce on 05/05 So it’s fair to say that 24/03 opponent will be a complete bum if that TBA goes ahead at all.
The TBA is definitely going ahead according to Hearn. It will just be to knock some cobwebs off. A glorified spar whilst also a name to boost the Whyte card. Be an interesting fight the Takam one but I don’t give Chisora a chance. I think this is more of a building up Takam to fight Whyte in the winter fight.
Does Takam being on these card make him back up, in case Haye gets injured? Or would they scrap the event again. Can’t see Chisora winning, and surely this’ll be for less money than he was offered to fight Joyce. Seems an odd choice.
According to Haye, as he's co-promoter, no fights can happen on the card without his approval and that he won't allow Chisora to fight Takam on that card. Wether that's true or not, who knows?
