That title belongs to Wilder... Takam had little to no hype behind him going into the Perez bout, he was expected to get dominated and schooled by the Cuban who had a lot of buzz behind him. Instead it was Takam who took the fight to Perez and was robbed by the judges, should have been a decision for Takam, not a Draw. My money is on Thompson as well, but I think Takam will be competitive and will be coming to fight. I see it going to the cards, and the decision will probably be very close, maybe even controversial.

Fight is not official. It's either Takam in France or Povetkin in Russia for the Tiger!

I got to give it to Thompson. He takes good fights!
Price, Pulev, Solis and now Takam.

Respect for the old Tiger :happy

Haven't seen much of Takam but I do respect TT more and more for what he is doing. In order to win TT needs a KO or a few KD. Has anyone seen Takam being put down?

Undoubtedly. Takam was robbed of a win over Perez and he had a great win over Grant, battering him unlike anyone had since Dominic Guinn in 03.

He also has a solid wins over Botha, Jomardashalli, Krakic, and Bispo and dominated Gbenga Oloukun, stopping him after the 6th rd.

A win over Thompson should cement him as a top 10 HW and give him a higher ranking to get a fight with Wlad or entry into the wba/wbc sweepstakes.

If Thomspon upsets Takam, that yet another top prospect that he's derailed and that should get him another title shot IMO.:think

Isn't Takam supposed to have a closed doors fight/sparring session with Tyson Fury in those weeks? Or am i mistaking him for some other boxer?

I think that was supposed to have happened a few weeks ago. Don't know if it actually did though.
