Carlos Zambrano Cordova is a 5'8 31 year old Featherweight with a 26-0 11 KO's record. Born in Chincha, Peru and fighting out of Lima, Peru. Zambrano who has an exemplary amateur record of 288-6 might be one of the unheralded players in the division before too long. He like Jezreel Corrales at SFW has been toiling away for quite some time feasting on tin cans throughout South America, but all it takes is one look to see the inherit gifts he's blessed with as a fighter. He's born with them in his blood, he takes the nickname of Mina after his grandfather The Bombardero de Chincha Mauro Mina a Light Heavyweight, who's considered the greatest boxer ever to come out of Peru. While he may lack power he more than makes up for it with skill, fans of the sweet science may take a shine to him, he's right up their alley. He has impressive footwork, he controls range quite well, he's very fast, his lunging lead right is blistering, his defense is sound and he's a well schooled counter puncher either standing in the pocket or off the backfoot. Here we go again making me learn about a fighter not named Floyd Mayweather Jr. or Golovkin. Now I know about another feather weight :-(. Making me learn CST, your making me learn.:think
I won't be happy until the whole site is well versed on the 217th ranked Minimumweight (that's all there is) Willie.
Nice post.....I had a nice job assignment in Lima for 4 years and its good to see a talent come out of Peru! :good
Then you should love Kovalev and GGG dearly, seeing how they're top tier masterful boxers who repeatedly produce highlight reel KO's.
Yep, I love watching both of them. As a person I despise Kovalev though, GGG I think he's a good dude but his fans are unbearable.
I see it the exact opposite, I think Kovalev is a great guy who tries to act mean for his image and GGG is a somewhat of a fraud who puts on a good guy act.
The people he's beaten are not anything extraordinary, I will follow his career more when he beats ranked opposition, right now he isnt that grand, but if he does make it big, he will be relatively popular in Peru. The boxing scene in Peru isn't all its cracked up to be.
