Cuevas has a very poor chance of pulling this one off. He's going against an elite fighter with a granite chin. Basilio, by decision.

Depends what era the fight is held since Basilio "loves to get hit"......and Cuevas would just love to hit him.

Pre-1970, Basilio wins by UD, post 1970 Cuevas by TKO.

How could Cuevas even compete with Basillio in any era? Basillio was all time great, Cuevas had part of welter title for short time, that's it. Ray Robinson, Demarco, saxton, ****, Cuevas would have no chance.

Since Cuevas (plus Robinson, Hearns) is probably one of the hardest hitting welters, and Basiilo's face is there to be broken, then prime Cuevas has a good chance to TKO him.

Basilio did not hit very hard and lost 16 times....so someone was beating him up.

    What a ****ing spastic.

Lew Jenkins, Ray Robinson, Ike Williams, Gil Turner, Tony DeMarco couldn't stop him. Basilio was crazy tough and if these two are fighting, regardless of power it'll be Cuevas getting mullered.

Remind me again, what notable chins did Cuevas crack? What pressure fighters the calibre of Basilio did he ever outfight?

You giving the benefit of the doubt to Pipino shows what a mong you are, when all he brings to the table is power and Basilio is proven against hitters.

If SRR can turn Basilio's eye into a Georgia roadmap, then Cuevas would break Carmen's eye socket like he did Basilio's nephew Billy Backus.

The ref would step in to stop the fight and tell Carmen it's time to go back to the farm and start raising "Allium cepa" again.

Two of my favorites fighters, Basilio is to tough for Cuevas and has incredible stamina. i think he could take Cuevas for a long ride and win by a late round stoppage. However if Cuevas gets that one perfect shot it would be lights out for Carmen. Cuevas had almost supernatural bonebreaking TNT in those mitts.

Wouldn't want to bet on this one. Basilio has a good chance of taking it, given his all-around ability. But given Pipino's arsenal, he could hurt a man at any given time. Too tough to call.
