Carnera v Baer: perspective on quitting

well carnera's confidence was blown way up based on the fact that almost all of his victories were staged. almost every guy he fought (if not every guy) was paid to take a dive. more than likely regardless of how many times he went down, he still thought he could win the fight. damn shame how carnera was mistreated. brought waaayyyy up as basically a sideshow act and then dropped from the top in a terribly embarrassing manner. as messed up as boxing is now, it was a whole lot worse back in the day...
