This is a belter. Two blokes who like to come forward and two lads who are probably too game for their own good. Quigg especially is a madman nowadays. If Quigg is to continue using his head for defence, this is the level he needs to box at. It's not an easy fight to predict. Quigg probably has the edge. My prediction is a FOTY candidate!
Quigg's last few fights might have added a good few miles onto the clock, the Valdez fight in particular, add to that his injuries and inactivity, so Carroll might be getting a depleted version of Quigg. In saying that, as long as he's not TOO shopworn, I think I'm still picking Quigg to have enough to get the win. Should be a good fun fight, looking forward to it.
The Ruiz v Joshua card is really shaping up, fair play to the boxers and Hearn. I still think Quigg takes this.
I agree Carroll should be fresher but the wildcard version of Quigg fights to the death. Can't see anything other than a barnstormer. It's a huge fight for both as the loser has few options left.
Just looking on boxrec and they only have the AJ vs Ruiz fight listed? Usually a couple of months before they have some undercard fights listed? Bit unusual
Quigg has had his face smashed up over the years, Carroll is far better than he is often given credit for, he gave Farmer a run for his money. I'm going Carroll on points, it will be close and it will be a great fight.
Think they're agreed but not approved etc hence them not showing. Looks to be this and Povetkin-Hunter on the card. Both absolute belters
