It's easy to look at his record and not be impressed when you stoppage losses to Alfonso Gomez etc. but if you watch his more recent fights it's almost like a different fighter than what he was like early on in his career, he's gritty, powerful and puts his shots together well and his defense is much improved.

Anyone else think this could be a much tougher test than people are predicting for Kell Brook? Heck I'm actually giving Carson a good shot at pulling off the upset in this one.

Only seen him against Soto Karass and he was okay. Hung in there despite being punished at times. Rather sloppy though. Think he's better than Hatton however.

I'd say it's Kell's most dangerous fight so far but one where he could put on his best display. Jones is a big welterweight he's operated at Middle and Light Middle. He doesn't do anything special but he has decent power and presses the action better then Hatton he will explode with shots to head and body throwing uppercuts and hooks. He's willing to trade off which is exciting to see and Brook will have to be mature in his decision making. Jones is a plodder for the most part. Doesn't move that head of his and what a head it is.

Brook should pick him apart, the jab and hook off the lead hand are key punches. Jones can be hurt Soto Karass buzzed him early and Quali hurt him and both punches were hooks off the lead hand.

Carson Jones was wobbled several times by Saaid Ouaali, Kell should win this comfortably.

Jones should give Brook his toughest fight and has a chance, but will probably still lose clearly. He packs more heat than any Brook opponent, throws a lot of punches, and is very game, but from a skills perspective he's not the greatest. He's lost most of the time he's stepped up his competition with the notable exception of the Ouali fight, but I think he just matched up well there style-wise. Should be a fun fight regardless of outcome though.

If he forces Kell to remove that stick from his ass then that would be enough for me. Don't want any more 'phoned in' performances from Brook

Carson Jones is a very solid operator, nothing special, but definitely not easy to beat, he's come on leaps and bounds, his losses have spurred him on to become a better fighter, and thats commendable.

    Tough ******* also.
