I don't think the Khan war of words means ****. I'm sure it would be dragged up by either side if Brook struggled / won impressively, but really it means ****. The thing about the fight that makes sense is how Diaz fought against Khan would be perfect to see if Brook has made the necessary improvements that would best prepare him for all eventualities at world level. We know Kell has an impressive jab, natural timing, good speed and power, what we don't know is how good he is in tough 12 rounders. I don't love the fight because its tough not to get impatient with Kell when he's treaded so much water and missed opportunities, but in the cold light of day the fight kinda makes sense.
