Two top middleweights in a beautiful tactical fight that still has some action. I personally thought this was one of the greatest style matchups in boxing. I love that double/ triple hook that Carter threw. Benton was the probably the most fluid and mechanical fighter I've ever seen, and absolute genius

Very good fight from a great era in the middleweight division. Giardello, Tiger Fullmer, Benton, Carter, Griffin, Archer and the tale end of Robinson. The Tiger vs Giardello fights are especially good. They fought four times and basically ended on even terms.

yes, the 50s-60s middlweights is one of my absolute favorite eras in boxing, so competitive yet highly interesting strategy
