FFS, I wonder if you could see Dana's arm up his arse when he was giving this interview.

I don't blame the UFC heavies for being pissed at Fedor. At this point - how can they not feel slighted by continually being robbed of the chance to test themselves against the best fighter in the world?

Then maybe Carwin and co should have moved to PRIDE. Oops Carwin had barely turned pro then whereas Fedor was a 20 plus fight vet who had fought the best heavies in the world. Ironically that didnt iinclude Carwin... As for Brock he was still trying out for the Vikings. But now he's the toughest test in the sport at 4-1... NEXT!

I completely understand that but fans minds are shockingly short in this sport. For those that dont remember i will continue to remind them. If Roger is a nobody then so is Cain Carwin Kongo Mir and Couture in comparison to Fedor.

Avoid each other? The only one doing the avoiding was Barnett.

A good way to look at imo is as follows:
If Cain, Carwin, Kongo, or Mir somehow, a year or two went to Strikeforce and had a decent run like that of Rogers, it would be exactly the same. They'd mention rest of the names, along Overeem and Rogers and Werdum if they were still in the UFC. It's not the names that matter. It's what those names represent which is "a small-time organization".

:thumbsup Bingo thats pretty much it. And the joyboys roll on. I dont understand this affinity that socalled fans seem to have to one organisation. Granted i was a huge fan of PRIDE. PRIDE is gone. I have no problem with fighters in the UFC. But what i hate is the mob fan mentality and the bullish tactics from the UFC that come with it.

Its completely wrong and detrimental to the lifeblood of the sport. The UFC and all fighters do whats best for themselves financially. Fedor does exactly the same and he gets berated by a bunch of cretins who then have the audacity to dissect his record as though he's made a career of fighting tin cans. This is a man who's beaten 5 UFC champions. Not just beaten them DESTROYED them. But that apparently doesnt matter anymore because its about the here and now?! But his last fight was against AA... O but Fedor was slated to fight Barnett. Barnett ****ed up. He's got Rogers instead a bonafide puncher and prospect but that apparently isnt good enough either..:roll:

This isnt about Fedor. Its clearly about the UFC and thats it. Who would have thought Dan's stink attitude would be sooo pervasive.

Kongo obviosuly, Cain and Carwin certainly, Lesnar ok if we are only looking at paper, Mir and Couture? You are out of your mind.

How can you on any level at all compare Rogers with Mir and Couture? That is offensively stupid.

Do you actually believe that Rogers is a good enough fight for Fedor? Leave everything and everybody else out of it; in a vaccum do you honestly think this is the type of fight the best fighter in the world should be taking?

This isn't an attack on Fedor, it is stating the obvious; the best fighter in the world should be fighting the best available opponent every fight. With Barnett he was so it's not like he's afraid of doing it, it's just that mixed in with his great wins are wins that are completly outside of what the worlds best fighter needs to be doing.

It's hard not to be frustrated with this fight; it is way too similar to the years in between CroCop and Sylivia. Those fights ranged from the completely absurd (Zulu) to the challenging but completly irrelevant (Choi) to the good but obviosuly totally outmatched (Lindland). This fight is closer to the Lindland fight than the Zulu, but comparing it to the last 3 fights he had signed it is a completly undeniable step backwords.

If it was a one time thing it wouldn't be so bad, but it's not, it's a return to a pattern that existed for a long couple of years of waste.
