WTF is it with Kongo he sucks IMO I wish he would get laid out and we can finally stop hearing about his title shot he deserves so much if he deserves it we better give one to Heath Herring to.

The problem is the UFC heavy ranks is still pretty thin. Kongo is nothing special at all. I wouldnt mind seeing him in with Gonzaga though. The problem with Gonzaga though is his mentally weak. He capitulated vs Randy and did the same with Carwin.

2 different fights man he was whooping up on Carwin but the dude punched through his head. Once Gonzaga bled vs Couture he went to total **** if was closer before that all Gonzaga had after was to try his head kick which did break Coutures arm but did he him flush and Randy shook it off and killed Gonzaga mentally even more. Gonzaga has great talent he kinda reminds me of Belfort in a way they can look like flawless fighters on any night unless the other guy starts gaining some success and momentum.

Shane Carwin nearly got knocked out last night and was easily losing the fight up until the KO.

There is no reason why Kongo could'nt knock him out.

The fight could go either way imo.

    Neither fighter is anything special.

    Did you see the fight?

Gonzaga "capitulated" when his brain bounced off of the back of his skull and his lights went out. Mental weakness is only a factor if you're mentally functioning.

Carwin easily; Kongo is first of all just not that good, second of all his style is absolutely perfect to get his ass kicked by Carwin.

Kongo is a big striker. So if he got Carwin in trouble he could finish him off.

I think Overeem is easily better on his feet (striking) than any heavy if the UFC now. So if he comes on board it gets really interesting.

Overeem would have to stop juicing first.

If Herring could takedown and control Kongo, I think Carwin can as well.

May I remind everyone of Jeff Monson vs Tim Sylvia?

Perfect example of good wrestler vs tall mma free style fighter

The only Difference is Kongo's a better striker than Sylvia.

Get off the wrestlers jock strap already, good wrestling don't mean good mma.

Kongo has had more jujitsu training in the past 5 years than Carwin.

Hasn't made a blind bit of difference though has it. His take down defense is rubbish. When he first came to the UFC the guy didn't even know how to sprawl.

Monson vs Sylvia is a terrible example. May I remind you of Couture vs Sylvia? Monson had a terrible strategy. In fact I don't think it was a strategy at all, he went for a single leg shots from like 2 yards away on a guy who is 1 foot taller than he is and knows how to sprawl...
No offense to him but thats the dumbest decision-making ever. Forget the height difference not even Lesnar would've been able to budge Sylvia with single leg shot from that far away.

Monsons strategy was walk forward get punched in the face and when he tired of that shoot and wait for Tim to sprawl. Get stood up and resume.

Forget it guys,Kongo has not improved since he arrived to the ufc almost 3
years ago.He has no idea how to avoid ground n pound.

You can say he's Art Jimmerson.
