First off, EXCELLENT performance from JMM!! Wow he showed that the weight was no problem to him AT ALL. His power was there(obviously), his speed and his toughness was also there. I never ruled out a JMM KO, but I actually expected this fight to go to the decision. But boy, he was absolutely superb!!

Anyway, now that the fight is finished what was your score leading up to the 11th rd KO?

I had it 6-4 JMM going into the 11th with ALOT of very close rounds. I thought Casa did a very good job on the early rounds as he was beating JMM to the punch with his counterpunching and also that straight left was finding JMM most of the time. But in the end JMM proved once again that he can adapt and change his tactic on the ****in fly! You could see that in the early rounds JMM was content on countering Casa with 1 or 2 shots but because he wasn't being successful that much in that department he quickly changed his approach(as Nacho advised) into implementing more combinations into his counters. And VOILA!!! Combinations = Poetry in Motion baby!!!

So what was your scores folks?

I had Marquez winning 7-3 going into the 11th and Yes, some rounds could of easily gone the other way. But I just like what I was seeing from Marquez, nice combos, and mixing up some good body shots. I think Marquez was dictating the pace of the fight and looked to be in control.

I had it 5-5, but wouldnt argue 6-4 for JMM. Funny thing is, Casa was WINNING the 11th pretty clearly up until he got caught and dropped the first time. Great end to a great fight.

    7-3 for marquez...
i wasn't really impressed with casa's one punch at a time tactic.....not only was marquez also landing his right hand all night, he was setting everything up perfect, and throwing a lot more combos....

    the commentators should just die...

    5-4-1 for JMM after ten.

I had Casa winning the eleventh with 30 seconds left, which, on my card would have left it even, and the last round deciding the fight.

What a difference the next 25 seconds made !

BTW, all those who said it was a bad fight or a boring fight need to find a different sport.

They clearly know **** all about boxing !

I knew JMM was going to win the fight but im not goin to lie either, i didnt think he was going to be able to KO Casa. I juss didnt see it happenin. GREAT PERFORMANCE from JMM though!

side note: what was the deal with the fight not being available in HD and Jim Lampley, Larry merchant/max kellerman not doing commentary???

i thought the commentators were ok. crowd was behind marquez so you had to watch the punches and casa was competitive for most of the fight.

but marquez looked the smaller man in the early rounds and i thought it was very impressive how he took control of the fight.

I think the first three rounds were most clearly Casamayor's. From round 4 on, he just lost that strong position he appeared to have. He fought like the bigger man before that.

I thought it was going to be an easy fight for Marquez, and Casamayor was only going win with a surprise punch, Katsidis style.

It wasnt necessarily that, but it WAS bein promoted as a HBO PPV you know? plus, between jim, larry, max (etc.) and tonight's commentators, i rather hear jim and them. Tonights commentators were killing the excitement for me. REGARDLESS THOUGH! GREAT FIGHT TONIGHT!!!(all bull**** aside thats what really matters anyways)
