Don King Promotions won the right to promote a bout between WBO/IBF/WBA lightweight champion Nate Campbell against WBO interim titleholder Joel Casamayor at a purse bid held today at WBO headquarters in San Juan, Puerto Rico. DKP's bid of $1,220,000 outdistanced the $571,000 bid of Golden Boy Promotions. The tentative date is August 27 with proposed sites in Florida, England, or Las Vegas. The purse split will be 50/50. Contracts must be signed no later than June 3. If Campbell doesn't sign, he would be stripped and Casamayor would immediately be stripped. I think Casamayor outboxes Campbell to a UD. I just cant see Campbell doing any better than he already did against Diaz.

Campbell TKO, Casamayor has faded badly since their first fight (Which was close) and Nate has improved. If Campbell turns up motivated and 100% he'll take him out. And I'm a Casa fan.
This will be a great fight, I want Campbell to win but my gut keeps telling me Casa will just own his ass again..... either way great fight if Campbell brings his A game he'll win a UD.....I highly doubt he'll KO Casa as his chin is made from iron
This is great. Whoever wins out of these 2 will face Pacman for the ultimate LW unifications. WBA/WBC/IBF/WBO/Ring/Lineal championship. Meanwhile a JMM vs Guzman and Valero vs Diaz would sound great.
