I wouldnt defend that but its life.

This is their profession, its a business and you can bet Casa wouldnt be taking financial advice off you.

Good point. Someone might be able to make a stronger argument for Casa "ducking" Nate if Joel wasn't at the end of his career, if he hadn't already beaten Nate, and if he hadn't already been screwed out of his title by the WBC. He's not going to trust the WBO to do the right thing by him and I don't blame him for that.

Casa is just looking to cash out after a career in which he has consistently faced the best fighters in his weight class. You can't blame him for wanting to make the most money he can. It's called PRIZE fighting for a reason.

if casa gets strip of the interim belt i think he doesn't give **** cause he has the lineal title. Nate wants revenge but casa wants $$$:D. Sure casa might be ducking campbell but hey its like his last fight or last two so let him pick

David Diaz Ain't Gonna be a pushover For Pac IMO..
That pressure & Southpaw style Might give Manny More prob's than people Think.

Wait On The Pac/Diaz winner. + Babybull still In the Mix.

Casamayor is THE lineal champ and the Ring champ. Why would he even care about his WBO mandatory status?

Casamayor owes Santa Cruz a rematch. He doesn't owe Campbell a rematch.

    I Hear You bro..
( I Agree Morales Should Have Got the victory Over Diaz)

    But Styles Make Fight's.
A Win Over An Opponent Don't Gurantee a Victory Over The next man..
It's a good mesurement, But In The end They are 2 diff Fighters.

I Think D. Diaz Will Give Pac A Run For His Money.
    (And Plenty of Headbut's & Cut's....)

But Campbell was at ringside to demand a fight when Casamayor was giving an interview to Max, even when Joel said that he wanted Pacquiao and other big names... I think it's almost unbelievable but I checked it now - Campbell wanted to speak live with Casamayor when Max was to interview Michael Katsidis...

Casamayor is not only the lineal Champ as he is 36 of age and doesn't have time left for newly crowned Champs. Campbell can fight other titlists, former champs and uncrowned champs David Diaz, Michael Katsidis, Juan Diaz, Santa Cruz, Julio Diaz and more... He is not in position to demand for a best payday as yet.

Not only that but it's a fight he really doesn't have much of a shot in hell at getting. Pac can hoot and holler for Casa all he wants but I'm certain Arum has probably already decided on the easier opponent in David Diaz.

So it's likely he'll lose out on a nice payday by waiting too long.

What the hell do you mean he's not the only lineal champ? He IS the champ. That's all there is to it. There's only one lineal champ. Casamayor beat Corrales, who beat Castillo, who beat Lazcano. If you want to say there is no lineal champ in Lightweight because there was only one title at stake in Castillo-Lazcano, I guess I can buy the argument, but that's still widely considered to be the start of the lineage, and those two had basically swept out the division before that fight.

If he wants to hold out for the biggest money fight possible, that's his perogative, as old as he is. I'd love to see him fight Diaz or Campbell so an undisputed champ can be created, but I doubt it's going to happen, and probably for good reason. As elite as Casamayor has been, he hasn't made all that much money (because he had a bad contract signing out of Cuba), and this is probably his last opportunity for a big money fight. Yes, he could get a bigger money fight IF he beats Campbell for all those belts, but Casamayor-Campbell looks like it would favor Campbell these days, and there just isn't enough money in that fight to have that great of a risk of losing the only thing that will get people to keep fighting him.

Re-read my post and you will find the difference between "he's not the only lineal champ" and like I said " he's not only the lineal champ as he is 36 of age and doesn't have time to...". Basically I agree with everything you said and that Pacquiao is the right fight for Casamayor from a business-rational viewpoint - to make the most money for the same risk... When I said that " he is not in position to demand for a best payday as yet" I am referring to Campbell and his most wanted fight with Casamayor.
