Casamayor must sign to fight Campbell by April 4th

When he actually fights a top 20 fighter then maybe he'll be ready.

 

Casa is not going to get his big pay day with Pac right now, waiting for a year is not going to get him that big pay day either. His best bet is to fight Campbell and try to take on the winner of Pac vs. Diaz. That is all there is for him.

 

Casamayor is done... If Katsides had a little more seasoning Casa would have been knocked out. Plus he should have lost the fight before that. Campbell will have a suprisingly easy firght if they fight again.

 

different situation... Casamayor is at the end of his career and has put every drop of energy into this sport of boxing, from amateurs and now fighting among 2 seperate decade of challengers from the 90s and 00s..he DESERVES a big pay day fighting someone like Pacquiao no question about it.

I'd agree with most here that Casamayor is simply trying to get the biggest payday possible. Right now that has to be Pacquaio. He'd be smart to simply wait and see if he can fight Pacquaio this fall after Pac beats Diaz. Fighting Campbell could really ruin that plan. Casamayor is old and only has one or two big fights left in him. Pacquaio, J Diaz, Barerra, Juan Marquez, and maybe a couple others are all bigger paydays than Campbell. Casamayor would be making a very smart move to try to get one of them in the ring before fighting Campbell again.
