Joel Casamayor showed once again that when he is determine, he is a diffcult fighter to defeat...everyone was taunting Katsidis power and totally forget of two isues: southpaw and power..and it was evident from the initial two KD's that it was going to be a long night for Katsidis that was going to need far more than pressure to deal with the slick Cepillo....

I had the fight even by the time of the KO, with ElCepillo winning the 9th....and I will say that if Casa didn;t got him on the m10th...he woujld have getting him in the 11th...

The desicion of the Ref was appropiate preventing Katsidis from some major injury...

Once again Max Kellerman was talking from his ass....

Yeah, looks like Casa was not yet ready to go quietly into the night. I wasn't sure he was going to survive the sixth round, much less score a KO in the tenth. Nice job by the veteran.

And, yeah, I don't know where Max came from with that "questionable stoppage" stuff.

He was bodered by the chest shot, no doubt and he was out of breath when he turn back, try to grasp for air, and got caught, yet he survived the round, and it made him realized that he needed to stepped it up...and that he did....his countering the entire fight was beautiful

I didn't see that body shot until the replay and I was wondering why Casa was so open for that shot to the head. He looked done when he was on the ring apron and appeared to be on automatic pilot when he climbed back in the ring.

You could tell he was getting it back together in the eighth and ninth. I thought the point deduction was not necessary, and I'm glad Casa ended things before it went to the scorecards.

Joel is a master boxer, he knows what he is doing in there....and he was waiting for the time that Katsidis was to come way open and that what happened..know the KD..was legit, he was hurt by the head shot, he got his ffet under him amazingly quick for a 35 year old fighter...he showed all why he is a world class boxer....

Now they both were stretching the limits of the boxing regulations, and the Ref should have taken charge earlier..I knew that eventually Casa was going to get a deduction at one point after I see the way the fight was developing...

After Casa got body slammed and MK didn't lose a point, I had a feeling that Casa was going to come back with something in retaliation. I didn't think he had that in mind with the low blow, which didn't look intentional to me, but losing that point probably stopped him from doing whatever it was he had in mind.

...in a way it forced him to get back to business..which at this point he already was starting to take charge of the fight again....I was expecting for Casa to take chrge in the championship rounds...which were knew to Katsidis.....

Good point. In the ninth round I was hoping that MK would get tired and Casa's skill and experience would allow him to sweep the championship rounds. I was encouraged by what he did in the eighth and ninth, but I figured that MK was likely ahead with that point deduction taking place. That hook that dropped MK in the tenth was a shock to me and had me jumping out of my chair and screaming at the TV. :happy

This is what make boxing great when you see Casa coming back into the ring after the knockdown survival of the fittest that shot was dramatic nothing beat this month the two Marquez and now Casamayor.

Yeah, Casamayor is a crafty old veteran. Hopefully he'll stick around long enough for Pac. That would be interesting to see.

Excellent fight! I was really impressed with Casamayor's will to win particularly his struggling to get back into the ring after being knocked through it.
