I see nothing wrong with this. This is exactly what is wrong with boxing. People care too much about titles and udefeated records. 2 months ago everyone was screaming for this fight to happen now Diaz loses and it's no longer a fight people want to see? IMO it's still makes for a damn good fight and I still want to see it.

The way lineage works that would make Diaz the champion even though there is a guy out there that beat him.

I think just about every way of determining a champion is imperfect in some way. The one nice part about lineage is it can not be corrupted. You can't have a guy stripped becuase he didn't fight some bull**** mandatory, Arum and King and DLH can not simply buy the lineage for one of their guys by putting up enough money that the sanctioning bodies will force a fight. I am still really undecided as to which championship recognition is the most important.

I agree with compukiller.. campbell should get his shot against casamayor.. even though i thought katsidis had a shot against casamayor, he was a little too aggresive and throwing punches everywhere.. so with casa winning, he should fight campbell.. diaz can wait.. but i would also like to see diaz and campbell

Wouldnt mind seeing Diaz & Katsidis, with the winner taking on Campbell-Casamayor winner.

We are also still overrating Diaz even though he lost to an old man.

Diaz deserves it as much as Campbell, and if Casa does not want Nate, then Diaz is OK

Casa doesn't want to fight Campbell so I don't see what's wrong with this as an alternative. The heat isn't on GBP, it's on Joel who seems set to fight everyone BUT Nate Campbell.

And this should be a great fight.

    Why not?

Pac has David Diaz, I doubt Anthony Peterson is ready and/or a big enough name for Casa, A Katsidis rematch would be nice but I doubt it'd match the 1st one in terms of entertainment. There's not much else out there other than Nate Campbell and apparently Casamayor wants nothing to do with Nate.

Juan Diaz has one loss and it was in against Nate Campbell fighting the fight of his life. He's been on HBO about 4-5 times now and is never a dull fight. Makes a lot of sense.
