Tecate has GATTA find a way to work these into a commercial. Maybe some kind of "don't drink and drive" spot.

What the **** are you assholes talking about??? That was not a check hook it was just a hard ****in hook. Casamayor stepped into that shot it's not a check hook.

Oh and he's a southpaw saw it would have to be a right hook to even be a check hook.

No, it was not a check hook...it was a beautiful counter left hook off a miss from Katsidis.

Katsidis exhudes stupidity. He just has dummy written all over him.

The knock out was what you'd expect to happen to a guy like that.

Damn that was right on the button, can't see why anyone is complaining about the stoppage, Katsidis didn't know where the hell he was.

No its not a check hook. Its a slip to the inside of the conventional fighters straight right with a counter overhand left.

Casa is a southpaw, fighting a conventional fighter, so a check hook would be applied differently. It could be used to throw a right hook over the jabbing arm of a fighter who lunges with a jab and requires a short step backward onto Casa's rear, or left foot.

I would also add that a conventional fighter and southpaw would utilize footwork a little differently to throw this type of punch.

A conventional fighter against a matched lead has an open target in the event of a lunging (Hatton) fighter.

Southpaws also utilize this type of technique but do so by stepping back with the rear foot (same as the conventional fighter), but then pivoting their front foot at an angle and sliding their back foot back around and into alignment so that they are now outside the lead left foot of the conventional fighter. The purpose is not so much the delivery of the clean hook, but to turn their opponents. Cassa does this sometimes and Spaddy loved to do it also.

I'm not sure I understand. He was KO'd, that happens to fighters smart and stupid alike, similar to how smart and stupid baseball players strike out.

Why the disrespect for a pro fighter who went down swinging? He didn't lunge in or make a serious mistake, he simply got timed by a beautifuly executed left hand counter, one that very few fighters in the pro game could throw with that precision.

I grow weary of the disrespect of pro fighters on this forum.
