Totally agree! Why do these people even respond? I guess just to have more post. But I don't think it was a check hook but I can see why you would think so.

 

Of course it was stupid. He's a dummy. Two of the three judges had Katsidis ahead on the score cards going into the tenth.

And I wasn't refering to the gif alone but the whole fight.

In the gif you can see how stupid he is. He thows a lazy inaccurate right and then with both hands low he throws a left hook.

That's all wrong. You've got to keep your hands up and NEVER throw a left hook off a missed punch. Especially not against an unhurt counter puncher like Casa.

Katsidis is a dumb fighter and thats what certain fans like. The stereotypical dumb, White fighter who goes on the attack and at least makes an effort.

 

I believe a check hook is basically a left hook thrown as a counter punch off your backfoot. I know Roy Jones used to throw them all the time.
