What are some cases of a fighter being saved by the bell? Muhammed Ali had a bad case against Henry Cooper. Cooper hit him so hard that it split Ali's glove and they were screwing around buying as much time as possible. That was literally the only time ever in boxing history of a glove breaking. Man what bs

Recently, Cleverly against Kovalev. The ref also had to carry him to his corner.

Not that it made much difference in the end.

Possibly Groves v Froch I in the 1st round.

In saying that, Froch is probably the hardest guy to KO in the sport - not just his chin but the way he recovers

No chance...MAYBE just MAYBE saved Froch from losing a decision...groves had already done all the harm he was going to do to Froch in that fight...he was tiring and Froch was looking to start to take control.

Indeed, Frochs was legs was totally gone. And Froch's defense sucks. Groves would of knocked him out if there was more time left in the round

I'm not speaking about the stoppage, I'm speaking about when Froch got dropped at the emd of the 1st round.

Yeah I have no doubt Froch would've stopped him soon enough even though it was way premature

Round 1 Froch vs. Groves that minute wasn't enough for Froch to fully recover but he was completely ****ed to just slightly ****ed after that.

    Benn-McClellan...round 1

Most recent example is the 3rd round of Mayweather-Maydana 2

Maidana's pillow gloves enforced by TMT helped a lot, though

that's the only one I can think of that one was truly saved by the bell. but before the bell the ref saved him with a 30 second count.

the ref was just making sure no time was left in the round. totally corrupt
