I think he should be stripped if true, but the BBBoC only seem to be very strict with the rules when it comes to non-Brit fighters.

 

What “cause” can he show?
He’s killing himself making weight at least dont let him do it for nothing.

10 pounds over 3 days? That's quite a lot. Not sure why he decided to squeeze all that out over 3 days.

Someday it's gonna dawn on these guys that if you're killing yourself to lose weight and you're not 22 anymore you're just draining yourself.

It's looking like Casimero was a flash in the pan.

 

First gastritis and now this, his career is becoming a farce. His weight struggles have been well documented, he failed to make weight on a first attempt for the Ramirez Lora fight, was stripped of his IBF title back in 2014 for failing to make weight at 108lbs, coming in a staggering 5lbs over the limit.

Casimero clearly is one of those fighters who cut a lot of weight for an advantage and so there is always the danger he fails weight. Kind of reminds me of Joan Guzman who was another big weight cutter who failed weight numerous times and so never really got the big fights because he was seen as too unreliable. I suspect same thing will happen with Casimero, without a title he won't likely face the winner of Inoue/Donaire in a big unification fight and why would you risk a big card with a fighter than may never make it to the ring.

His team should have come to terms with Butler to ensure he had hometown advantage to prevent the BBBofC's rules on sauna's being an issue or ensured they bid enough to definitely win the purse bids, as clearly sauna's are a regular part of Casimero's preparation. To again lose a title due to weight issues is just plain unprofessional.
