Casimero isn't that good, so he's hardly essential to the Inoue/Donaire winner's credibility as bantam king. But he is fun, so it's a shame to see him throwing time out the window.

I hate Casimero but flash in the pan is certainly the furthest from the truth. The shock is that he came back to win another all this time later. And the other in between then. NOT a flash in the pan.

 

I wish boxing would approach the entire question of weight draining with a unified stance. The sport should act to stop fighters risking their health to cut weight, but at the moment these measures are piecemeal and differ from region to region. I support the BBBoC making a stand but unfortunately this now opens up the question of if it's being done to benefit a home fighter. There needs to be consistency across the differing sanction bodies to stop action like this being seen as yet another fit-up.

And I like Casimero a lot more than I do Nonito, but Casimero is very lucky Nonito has a vagina and pulled out of the fight because of insults. Nonito would have ended Casimero violently.

You must have amnesia. Because i remember it correctly. Casimero was training 7 months in Meerika for the Japanese Turtle. For it to be cancelled and he fought Jason Boloney. Casimero around december was having problems with Gibbons who runs MP promotion with out a license.

He then wants to fight? Wrong timing to call out Casimero when he had issues and has since departed Manny Dumbquiao promotion. Dunno when Manny Dumbquiao gonna do something about this shady mofo Gibbons.

Prove to the country you can control your own promo .Clean house and boot foreigners out and not let foreigners take over it and do as he pleases. Any rapid weight loss during fight week is going to be water weight. Saunas are used as part of that to get the fighter to perspire. When a fighter is relying on water weight to cut weight during fight week, they risk strokes, kidney failure, heat disease, and death.
When a guy is struggling to make weight they can use the sauna. It leaves them dried out &, in particular, reducing the fluid in all your body includes the fluid around your brain. Going into a fight with less fluid around your brain is insanely dangerous & makes it far more likely that one head punch can result in serious injury or death.
