admit something that didn't happen, did? naa mate but it is ironic its you saying that, see the post u've avoided. you opted for "herol is not correct" in someone elses post rather than reply to my points.
Herol, you clearly claimed Mendoza was lying about the smelling salts, well it appears that he is correct, its on film. So what should you do mate? What would a fair minded poster that enjoys debating with honour do after they claimed another was lying? You want others to acknowledge your points all the time, correct? You demand they answer your specific questions correct? Why are you always claiming others aren't answering your points when you refuse to acknowledge any of theirs? The funniest part is so often posters do answer your demands and you still refuse to answer theirs. You have no sense of honour or fairness when debating boxing with others on here imo. You come here to put other members down in dishonourable ways Herol. Its not cool Herol :nono
Clay got clocked, he didn't know where he was, as Red Cobra said, had the KD occurred mid-round, Clay would have been toast!! But that didn't happen and was probably better for boxing. Just get over it and admit the obvious.
Some posters revert to a show me it on film tactic, hoping it's not out there. Well in this case it is. HerolGee if he wants to preserve his integrity should admit the mistake and move on. If he doesn't other posters have the right to call him out in different threads. As I said before Dundee on film right after the fight ( in the airport ) saying a lot of time passed between rounds. Someone was sent to the dressing room to look for a spare glove, none was found so we used what he had. Essentially that's what he said. ESPN owns this film and sometimes shows it on Ali marathon's. Why would Dundee lie? He wouldn't. The event was fresh in his mind.
Yep I hear yeah Mendoza :good Herol far too often claims others are lying right before he turns tail and runs out of the thread never to return :rasta I just wanted to make note of it for the forum while it was still so obvious to understand
The problem is he will return in new threads. Just start one on fighters he hates, and he'll pop up like an unwelcome weed in a well-matiated garden. If he wants's to come clean here, he can. I'll offer him a clean slate if he does. Calling people out for lying, then running away once they have proven themselves ( and not even apologising for the accusation ) shows you who he is.
1.The delay was under 4 seconds. 2.Smelling salts were used. 3.They were illegal in UK rings. 4 No gloves were changed. 5. At no time was the time -keeper Stan Courtney instructed to stop his clock. 6.Ali was up at 3. 7.Dundee asked him if he was ok? He replied ,"yes ,but Cooper's getting tired". 8.The split was around the base of the left thumb,I think it very doubtful that Dundee widened it, he was too busy slapping Ali's legs and putting the sponge on his head. There is more BS talked about this incident than most, time to put it to bed.
Well, I gave him a chance. He's a low information type who cries wolf, then tucks tail when the thread turns on him.
Ali was out of it. He got up mid break because he had no idea where he was. The smelling salts instantly revived him. Cooper was cheated of the chance of knocking Ali out. Nobody ever came closer.
Ali was in trouble but he came out meaning business in the next round and blitzed Cooper. He was aware enough to answer Dundee between rounds . I think Ali was in more trouble in the 11th round against Frazier in FOTC.
Absolutely no doubt Ali was more hurt in round 11 against Frazier than he was hurt at any other time in his career.
