    I always felt Daniels was winning this fight prior to the (somewhat questionable) stoppage. IMO, this fight showed some of the "young" Ali's weaknesses heading into the Liston fights. Certainly, he seemed confused about how to approach a taller, rangier opponent that knew how to make use of his reach.

    I think the post-comeback "version" of Ali would've looked to stand flatfooted and back Daniels up with some big right hands, the way he did with Bugner twice. Then again, that version of Ali was probably stronger and carried more power than the young one.

    a tough, competative fight! Daniels stance is not unlike Ken Norton.

    Another reminder that tall, big boned, genuine heavyweights can still come in under 200lb. They're not cruiserweights, these are big men trained down.
