    Not to get off track,,,,,,,

But George Logan who fought, Alejandro Lavorante, Robert Cleroux and Cassius Clay,,

    Rated them as opponents as;
    1) 3/5/1962 vs. Robert Cleroux (L TKO 7)
    2) 4/23/1962 vs. Cassius Clay (L TKO 4)
    3) 12/6/1961 vs. Alejandro Lavorante (W Split-Dec 10)

    * Robert Cleroux was a non-stop banger, that hurt you all fight long.
    * Cassius Clay was a non-stop puncher, who was too fast to handle, especially movement wise.
    * Alejandro Lavorante hit the hardest, but he ran out of gas and he did not have good boxing skills.

Robert Cleroux was the better of the '3' when I faced each fighter, but Cassius was only 20 years-old.

    Sports Arena, Los Angeles, California

20 year-old 'Heavyweight Sensation' Cassius Clay makes it '13' in a row, by stopping
the Mountain-West Heavyweight Champion, #10 ranked 25 year-old George Logan of
Boise, Idaho in the 4th Round.

The young heavyweight from Louisville, at 196 lbs., exhibited fast-hands, and avoided the early power
punches of the 205 lb. Logan. By the 4th Round, the 'brawler' Logan (now 22-8-1) was
a battered and bloddy mess, and was saved from further punishment by Referee Lew Grossman
    at 1:34 of the round.

The Young Mr. Clay, should now move up to the #7 Heavyweight. Talk is that he may face
John Riggins, another hard-punching, but slow heavyweight.

For George Logan, California is not the place to be. In his last bout, 7-weeks ago at the Civic Auditorium,
in san Francisco, he was battered even worse by 'highly rated' Canadian Heavyweight, Robert Cleroux,
who stopped George by a TKO in 7.

Asked by the Oakland Tribune, just who is the better heavyweight, Cassius Clay or Robert Cleroux,
the Boise brawler said, 'The Canadian smashed my body and ripped my right eye, and Clay stung my face and
    and sliced my left eye.'

Alejandro Lavorante was second best when compared to Robert "Bob" Cleroux. Just check their records. Lavorante wouldn't last more than 7 or 8 rounds with Cleroux, then it would be lights out.

Senor Pepe was the greatest visionary, the greatest scholar, the greatest poet this board has seen.

I believe every syllable he scrivens.

With all due respect, what a stupid post! Thoughout history, no young up and comer risks a defeat at that point in his career. You're talking Early Clay. Do you think Dundee wanted any part of Machen in 62-63? What the hell, a young Cassius may have beaten Cleroux anyway in 62.
