Castillo / Corrales for me. Pretty much Ward / Gatti but with a higher level of skill

What a ****in joke question this is.

Corrales-Castillo 1 and its not even REMOTELY close! Easily one of the best fights of all time.

Gatti-Ward 1 was a good fight, but HARDLY an all time great fight.

Corrales-Castillo had sustained action, more drama, and fought on a MUCH higher skill level, at a much higher stake considering they were the two best lightweights in the world.

Gatti-Ward was a fight between two scrubs.

ANYBODY that thinks Ward-Gatti was a better fight, should be banned for stupidity.

No I'm not. Gatti-Ward 1 is one of the most overrated fights of all time.

A better question would have been Corrales-Castillo 1 or Tito-Vargas.

Corrales-Castillo was for the real lightweight champion, a unification fight, better skill level, higher stakes Ward-Gatti was just another fight between two good contenders

Castillo-Corrales is the greatest lightweight title fight I have ever seen

Castillo-Corrales. Amazing fight not including the ending. Throw the remarkable comeback in there and you've got yourself one of the very best fights of all-time. I get goosebumps every time I see Weeks jumping in to save Castillo against the ropes.

I'll take the minority opinion and go with Gatti-Ward. More back and forth, ebb and flow. I didn't like Corrales spitting out the mouthpiece to buy himself more time. Yeah, Castillo-Corrales was at a higher skill level, but I don't give a ****.

I feel that if I had seen Corrales-Castillo as it happened, this wouldn't be in doubt. As it is, having already known the result and the whole mouthpiece incident beforehand, it's a tough call. Both were savage fights, and I can't imagine how awe-inspiring the finale of Corrales-Castillo was to those who were watching it live. Vasquez-Marquez III, Morales Barrera I, and Sithchatchawal-Monshipour were the top 3 fights of the decade for mine. A pretty spectacular era for action fights.

Thank God for amazingly tough Mexican fighters.

...and Ukrainian all-action warriors like Wlad.
