For 9 rounds it was the same fight as the first fight except Castillo started faster this time. Floyd won 2 of the last 3 rounds in my book.Still, a draw in my view. Very close fight
Watched it recently had it by a round to Castillo but it wasn't a robbery people make out could easily see it Floyd by a round many rounds are subjective one thing is sure though had Floyd lost he would have done so fair and square. I scored it in the end 114- 113 to JLC, was watching with a friend he had it 115- 113 to Floyd couldn't argue with that score either.
You guys didn't watch the fight. You just want to fit in with the other phony people who say Floyd lost. You try to make the scores close and sound like you watched the fight, but you really didn't, lmao. I posted the fight for you to watch, and you choose to ignore watching it for fear that you would see Floyd clearly winning. Stop being phony and watch the fight. I'll post it again.
I can't respect anyone who says Mayweather won that fight, they obviously don't know **** about boxing. Castillo won by at the very least two rounds and you'd have to be retartded to think Floyd too the first six when most of those rounds could go either way. Castillo landed more and harder punches through out the last half of the fight and controlled the fight for the majority.
Mayweather and roger were in panic mode the whole fight. That just tells u what time it is. If u scored if for Floyd you are either. A) Floyd loving co_ck muncher B) DKSAB C) disabled
You never say how Floyd lost. You just say it, lmao. What was Castillo landing? Body punches? How come they never slowed Floyd down? The jab? Yeah seriously? The right hand? Castillo has no right hand. The left hook? You mean Castillo landed the left hook on Floyd all night? Did Floyd have any lumps or anything on the right side of his face? What did Castillo have going for him in this fight that makes you think that he won? You never tell the story. None of you lmao. Floyd was landing any punch that he wanted. He moved, he jabbed, he body punched. I'm going to remember you guys names when the next big fight comes around. I just want to see how phony and biased you truly are, lmao.
Castillo by 2 at least, clear as day. Castillo got robbed, I like Floyd but the best he should have got was a draw. Floyd defo won the rematch though
Body punches count, jabs count ( remember Floyd's famous jab to the body), I suppose facial damage equals who won the fight? Your argument lacks substance. Castillo outworked Floyd plain and simple. Castillo won the first, Floyd won the rematch. The first fight was a massive learning curve for May he learnt from it. No shame in that Ali lost a fight, Hagler lost, Duran lost, Leonard lost etc etc. Great fighters can and do lose. Doesn't make them average fighters
I don't know what you suppose about facial damage because what you said was asinine, and I mean no disrespect. Outworked him where, lmao? When I see a fighter outwork someone I see Chavez Rosario, Duran Sugar, I didn't see that in Floyd Castillo. How did he outwork him? Where did this take place center ring or on the ropes. Floyd wasn't on the ropes long enough to get outworked, and Castillo didn't outbox Floyd center ring. There's no shame in losing because Floyd won We aren't talking about Ali, Duran, or Hagler. Floyd beat Castillo. If he lost, I'd say he lost. Ali is my favorite fighter of all times, and he's the best fighter who ever lived. I've seen Ali lose. I have not seen Floyd lose 1 fight yet.
I'm thoroughly glad someone made this thread because it's about time this controversial fight was revisited, it has certainly not been covered 100's of times already. Now, if only someone would create threads on Lewis V Vitali Klitschko and whether or not Calzaghe was any good... That'd be the dream.
We can all agree to disagree. I had it the same score as two of the judges, the AP, the NY times ... What is clear is we all wear our hate/like Floyd glasses. It wasn't a robbery either way. Punch stats are even worse. One person is assigned to each fighter and he alone makes judgement on what landed/did not land in real time. It's not like he does it after the round is over and watches replays in slow motion, which would be more credible. I'm apt to trust three set of eyes more than one.
I watched this fight a few weeks ago and a few thing struck me: 1-Castillo fought (IMO) well and adjusted, looked to me the tougher fight for Floyd than Cotto 2-how many times did they touch gloves? Reminded me of Mosely and Pacman! Floyd was very respectful in that fight 3-Fight was close but I think Castillo got it but a couple of rounds 4-Floyd showed heart especially with an injury to stand toe to toe in the championship rounds but I don't think he did well in the 12th especially 5-some weird refereeing at times Quite a decent fight
