Haven't watched this in quite a while but I seem to remember scoring it 7 rounds to 5 for Floyd. Close fight that could be scored either way.

You can't get out landed in every way for 7 straight rounds and expect to win except if you are a "house" fighter. 1000 people in attendance 900 scored it 116-112.

Fans complained so much about that criminal decision that a rematch was ordered. Void won the rematch, but he lost the first fight. Boxing politics, Void's judges won the first fight for him.

this reminds me...Mayweather clearly wins 5 of the first 6 rounds (and really I wont entertain anything differently, its clear once the hating glasses are off). So anyone who credibly has Castillo winning should have him sweeping the entire second half of the fight.

    Castillo vs Mayweather

    1 Mayweather
More active, scored with the jab to the body and head throughout

    2 Mayweather (very close)
Spirited rounds by Castillo but Mayweather may have just about
    kept him out

3 Mayweather (Lederman scored this for Castillo on one combo by the looks of it)
He controlled the round with the jab for the most part, Castillo put a
lot of pressure on toward the end, landed a left hook to the body and
a right that may have sneaked through, still like Mayweather's activity though

    4 Mayweather
Mayweather's jab and counter right hands done it for me, Castillo put
pressure on again towards the end but he did not land significantly enough
thoughout the round to take it imo.

5 Castillo (Close) (Castillo landed 16, threw 40, Mayweather landed 13, threw 41)
I thought he out hussled Mayweather in this round and landed some good shots towards the end, Castillo seemed to land the harder shots to

6 Castillo ( Castillo landed 24 punches in the round doubling PBF's output in that round, he
scored 19 out of 29 power shots in the round)
Easily Castillo's best round, he also landed the best punch of the round, a hard right hand.

7 Castillo (75 power shots to only 30 for PBF, Castillo threw more than twice as many)
Even bigger round for Castillo, Floyd got nailed quite a few times with some solid shots in this round

    8 Mayweather (10/8 round)
Mayweather beat Castillo to the punch and was more active throughout, Castillo had a point taken for hitting on the break.

    9 Castillo
I thought Castillo outhussled Mayweather in this round and landed some hooks to the body and
busted him with double right hands, he put on a lot of pressure in this round, they exchanged counter
right hands early and Castillo had the last say in the exchange.

    10 Castillo (10/8)
Castillo landed some hard shots, particularly to the body, he succeeded in breaking Mayweather's rythm.

11 Castillo (Very close round) Castillo, 35 out of 68, Mayweather 20 out of 50
I thought Castillo closed better although they went punch for punch inside

    12 Castillo
more active landed good shots to.

Tough tough fight to score. One thing Castillo, like Sosa, Jesus Chavez succeeded in against Mayweather is, they broke up Mayweather's rythm, only Castillo landed a number of solid shots on Mayweather unlike Sosa & Chavez. I thought Castillo won but if a couple of the rounds swung
to Mayweather then i can see that, but i cant say i think he won the fight, he was not effective enough to have won the fight imo, Castillo was on his ass the entire fight after the 4th round and was landing
    the harder shots.

    Castillo landed 203, threw 506, 40%
    Mayweather landed 157, threw 448, 35%
    Power punches
    Castillo landed 173, threw 377, 46%
    Mayweather landed 66, threw 151, 44%

    R8. Castillo 8-10 Mayweather

    Castillo 112-115 Mayweather

Just watched this bout again. I've scored this bout a couple times, but this is the first time I've scored it so clearly to Floyd I think...even though it was a close bout.

I don't know how anyone scored round 3 to Castillo like Lederman did...Castillo landed 1 or 2 point scoring punches the whole round whilst Mayweather controlled it. The only reason Lederman scored that round for Castillo was because of the 1 eye catching right hand he caught Mayweather with late in the round.

Anyone else score Round 8 a 10-8 to Floyd? I thought he was edging it...and Lederman scoring it a 9-9, along with the commentary may have influenced some people.

Also, Round 10...I scored this 9-9, and I can't see how some have it 10-8 for Castillo. This was Mayweather's clearest round out of the whole bout...he was landing more, landing more power shots than Castillo...whilst in turn blocking the majority of Castillo's punches. The commentary was very biased in this round, claiming Castillo was landing while he had Mayweather against the ropes...but in truth Mayweather was still the one getting the better of the two.

(Edit: The following was supposed to be an analysis of round 11, not 10) If you score this round for Castillo, you must also believe that N'dou won the 5th round against Floyd because he threw more shots...whether they were landing or not.

Mayweather should have gotten a warning for hitting after the bell in Round 9. But I guess the point deduction in the next round sorted that out. But it shows how biased the commentary was in this bout, Castillo hit after the bell and after the ref said break numerous times leading upto his point deduction...but Mayweather does it once and the commentary were calling for a point deduction.

I don't know what the **** the ref was doing in Round 10 when he allowed Castillo to hit Mayweather with at least 3 punches to the body whilst his back was turned. If those shots were to the head, he would have gotten at least a point deduction.
