I think that was something of a consensus scorecard. Castillo took it in the late rounds IMO. It was still a close-sih fight (Mayweather won most of the early rounds), but the very least Castillo should've gotten was a draw. The one-sided scores for Mayweather were an obvious fix.
Can't mind my scorecard, but had Mayweather winning. I did watch the first 5 rounds a few months ago and Mayweather won them all. Castillo wasn't landing anything. Mayweather was throwing the jab exclusively for the most part, and was clearly outlanding Castillo. No significant power punches were being landed often during those first 5 rounds, but Mayweather was clearly doing the better work, mainly with his left jab.
A close fight tha could have gone either way. The scorecards were hilarious but a PBF win was not a wrong decision - a Castillo win or a draw wouldn´t have been either. Adraw would have indeed been the best possible outcome.
Castillo won his rounds bigger but I had Mayweather winning more rounds. Mayweather swept the first 4-5 for me though and ground out another 2-3. So anywhere from 6-6 to 8-4 is paletable
It wasnt as close as most think..Castillo was landing and being aggressive..but take into account how many actually landed clean..Defense is a part of boxing to..Mayweather was rolling with alot of the flurries..Ill have to check it out again though
