    That's an unfair assessment.

Urango is a huge 140 lb slugger. He's an extremelly dangerous opponent for a wrestling pressure fighter like Hatton to face.

Urango put Hatton out of his element by forcing him box. When is the last time we've seen Hatton bullied around?

Considering Hatton's natural style, how do you expect him to KO Urango?

Collazo is a southpaw and Ricky's first venture into welterweight. Sugar Shane, a reasonably big or at least natural welter wasn't able to KO Collazo, so why would you expect Ricky?

    hatton's paying this joker.

all that standing around covering is biting floyd up the backside here.

he always does it against pressure.

plus it's all singles and doubles these days.

    hatton all the way. :bbb

Watch the fight again. listen to hall of fame inductee emanual steward. that quote came straight from his lips. (steward said along the lines) " I am amazed that a mexican fighter went down from a body shot" Are people in the boxing world asking him to step down, are they saying he was out of line, the answer to those questions are no. So you should be a better boxing observer. And secondly stereotypes exist in boxing weather you like it or not. Are europeans outraged that they have a particular style, I don't think so. Are black boxers upset when they are called gifted athletes in the ring i.e rjj pbf hell no, mexican fighters are proud, strong and determined, furthermore it is a hell of a compliment in terms of conditioning. In closing You are no real boxing fan and you should be scruitinized for every word you post on this site.

    i dont know

hatton definetly didnt fight a prime version of castillo, he was at 140lbs looked dreadful in his last 2 fights and just seemed small in comparison to hatton

the fight imo was pretty poor but i knew from round 2 hatton had control, castillo had no movement upper body and his punches seemed flat

i totally agreed with max kellerman when he said castillo showed up to see what hatton and when he realised hatton was too much the fight was over

i've not heard that castillo has retired yet? if he hasn't i think he's more than cable of beating any of the other 140 belt holders, though considering styles i think witter would be a tough fight for him. we'll see how shot he is if he fights again (which considering his financial position i think is likely)

if what is said is true, castillo broke 4 ribs, you can't breathe and if you can't breathe you can't move or do anything, game over. and it don't matter where you come from.

    Brilliant.

I know stereotypes exist and as I said, there may be some truth to them but they aren't hard and fast rules. Mexicans may be renowned for their toughness, black boxers for their athleticism and so on but that doesn't mean they all have those attributes. Emmanuel Steward said he was amazed, he didn't say 'Mexican fighters don't get ko'd from body shots.' as you did. He was applying the not unreasonable stereotype that they are tough, you stated it as fact. There's a big difference.

Finally, and most laughably of all, you tell me I'm not a boxing fan and my words should be scrutinized. Why? Is it because I took your statement and proved it 100% incorrect by giving a recent example, or is it because you're trying to make yourself look less stupid?

You got to love body shots that have delayed reactions.

Haven't you read the thread? Any Mexican who gets stopped by a body punch is taking a dive, apparently.

Anyway, body shots like that are brutal to watch, you can just see everything draining from the victim as he's reduced to a gasping figure on the canvas. Beautiful in its own slightly sick way.

...The fight lasted only four rounds!

You're talking as though Hatton was pounding his body for ten rounds before brutally stopping him with a vicious left hook to the body in the eleventh.

you could tell very early in the fight that Castillo had no legs under him, all those wars have caught up with him, thats pretty obvious.

Urango is a tough strong fighter who is built like a bodybuilder, has nearly no neck on him and can take a pretty good punch. Collazo wasn't stopped or hurt by Mosley so it doesn't matter.
