I don't think I've ever been more disapointed as a fan than when this fight fell through. This rivalry felt like it could go down with Zale vs. Graziano, Holyfield vs. Bowe, or Barrera vs. Morales.

I'm just wondering if anyone has any thoughts looking back on this one, about who would have won or any other reflections?

Other than really looking forward to it, I can't remember what I thought then. In retrospect, Corrales would have been in trouble. He was never the same after Castillo 2. He wasn't close to making weight for his next fight, a losing effort against Joel Casamayor. Then in his next and final bout before his death he lost a very one-sided decision to Josh Clottey. While Castillo was never the same either, he had a lot more left and I believe he would have won easily.

    RIP Chico

My brother was in Vegas for that fight. I can assure you that others were more disappointed than you.
