I didn't have a problem with the Hatton or Mosley fights.

Guerrero and Ortiz however, and now Maidana? There's no one I enjoy watching box more than Mayweather, but those were/are lousy fights and I hope the Maidana one doesn't live up to box office expectations.

I tend to agree. Seems that he sets up the May fight as a warm-up to the main fight in September these days.

Unfortunately not many lucrative fights to be made either, which is bothersome.

I hope they manage to build-up a few fighters to make a more interesting last 3 fights.

Khan should knuckle down and win himself a belt. He'd be a certainty at that point. Lara, perhaps too. Maybe Martinez at a catch-weight? Or Danny Garcia. Wouldn't mind seeing Floyd drop to 140 for that fight, would certainly make it more interesting.

I had Castillo by 1pt but certaintly don't view the fight as an out and out robbery. Floyd improved and won the rematch handily.

The injury is no excuse. Roy Jones easily beat Bernard with a broken hand. Holyfield never used his shoulder as an excuse when he lost to Moorer. Castillo was the better man that night. End of discussion. If Floyd wants to consider himself an ATG (which he isn't) he can't use that excuse for his bad performance

114-112 Mayweather. Banked the first five and snagged a couple more in the last half of the fight. Close, either way fight...not really a robbery by any stretch of the imagination.

And yet you rate him as one of the top 100 fighters of all time.

Holyfield used like every excuse in the book.

Shoulder, Hepatitis (HGH-itis), heart issues (HGH-itis), "The judges scored it a draw", leg cramps (Lewis 1), "Everyone knows I won the rematch with Lewis", busted eardrum (Lewis 1 and Ruiz 1).

Only the top 30 are ATG. If so many people were ATG then what's the value of calling them ATGs?

So...fighters like say, Carlos Zarate, Miguel Canto, Fighting Harada, Eder Jofre, Ruben Olivares can't be considered great, then. Is that what you're saying...? They generally wind up between 30 and 100...as will Floyd once all is said and done.

Making the top 100 is nothing to sneeze at, is all I'm saying.

Yeah being top 100 is great. All those guys u mentioned are great - but not among the best of all time

What's the value of being one of the greatest of all time - if there are 100 people given that title.

For example you can't compare Oscar DLH to someone like Roberto Duran even though they are both in the top 100 - Duran is lightyears beyond someone like Oscar. Only a few should be given that title or it holds no value

Greatness isn't a static definition, is all I'm saying. And it's not like there's really all that much difference between someone in the Top 10-15 (Pep), and someone who lands in the Top 50 (Saddler).

I'm hesitant to rate Floyd any higher than about Top 40-50 at present; and I'd listen to arguments of people who would rate him as low as 75. But the fact is that there have been a lot of great fighters...being included among their number should still be considered something of an accomplishment.
