    Catch 22 for Margo.................

I thought they made Margo a bit too defensive in terms of, early on he fought too measured, tucked up more, look to use the jab, which I felt made it easier for Pac, as he had more space and time to move and set up. Margo was losing those early rounds and getting hit cleanly, only I started to think, maybe it was not such a bad strategy in the long run, as he has not always been the quickest starter anyway(Williams), although recently his game has picked up in that aspect (Cintron, Golden Johnson Lol), but as I said, as the fight wore on, I started to think, maybe it was good idea for him tuck up more, cause at least he is still there, at least Manny has been the one expending the more energy, at least he has took the fight to the middle rounds where he can, in theory, have his best success, as Pac's reflexes wont be as sharp, and he might be looking to pinch a rest now and then due to moving and punching so much. I thought, in those middle rounds I think it was, cant remember specifically which rounds, that Margo reverted back to his old style somewhat, as he would disregard the high held guard a bit and just look to apply the pressure, close the distance faster and lets his hands go, only it was as I anticipated, that Manny would be able to sharp shoot him on the way in, spin off as Margo comes in too fast. I must say though, that Manny let himself get caught on the ropes more than I anticipated he would of, only I think that was a culmination of trying to grab a little rest, but trying to do a bit of Swee Pea on the ropes Lol

I also thought later on when Manny went to the ropes, that he was trying to nail Margo with that chopping counter he was throwing, but as I say, I didn't think much of that period where Manny got caught on the ropes, had much to do with what Margo was doing stylistically. Infact Manny looked as though he wanted to make it more competitive, by letting Margo hit him, it was almost as though he was saying, I have to get hit myself before I can enjoy the combat. I also felt later on in the fight that Manny didn't languish on the ropes as much, that he did a better job of spinning/pivoting away, which tells me, that earlier on he went to the ropes to grab a breather and had benefited from that breather so was able to continue using his legs consistently, or that Roach told him to keep his back off the ropes, not to invite Margo on.

I found this fight to be a catch 22 for Margo, when he shelled up and tried to think more about his defense, he gave Manny more time and space to move and set up his speed/power, thus taking punishment, but when he applied the pressure, he could not close distance fast, AND! maintain that good D, therefore he would revert back to his old style, close distance fast and dont worry about defense Lol, and so was getting painted equally as much cause he was closing distance fast with no defense.

I said before this fight that it would come to down to this for me.....that Margo does not have fight changing power, and needs a stationary target to chip away at you in order to score a KO, only Manny has enough stamina, to never present a stationary target consistently enough for Margo to do what he needs to do.
