Necessary evil. For instance, if Froch-Hopkins wanted to fight, it makes perfect sense to meet somehwere in the middle and neither would be adversely affected. It's the cases where the bigger man is adversely affected where i have an issue. For instance, the proposed Pac-Mosley at 140 or Floyd-Martinez at 150. The bigger man should not be adversely affected, which in turn would legitimize the fight to some extent.

Do your homework kid.....catch weight agreements have been threaded throughout the history of this sport. There have been the creation of several weight classes that have been introduced over time, but Manny and Floyd weren't the boxers who created catch weight fights.

Every case is different, for legitimate catchweights it's a necessary evil.

I hate them and I'm not changing my mind why have weight classes? Just imagine Khan vs Broner at 143 ,Sexy vs GGG at 158, Money vs Canelo at 152.

In a world where people fight at weights they're at only for the five seconds they're on the scales the day before the fight, I find it very hard to care about catchweights. No-one's really fighting at their division limit these days anyway.

I don't care at what weight a fight takes place. I'm just a fight fan who'd rather watch a fight happen than to give potential fights an excuse not to happen due to a few pounds one way or the other.

I don't have a problem with guys meeting in the middle/catch weight to make fights.

I have a problem with titles being on the line when they do. Just make it for the fans and leave the title out of it. For the title AT the full weight limit. Just IMO.

Like it or not.....**** won't change.....before they had 17 weight classes catch weight fights were taking place and when they make new divisions boxing will have catch weight fights. Like I said before.....just fight. If a catch weight makes it happen, so be it. Just dont use some lame ass excuse that you were drained if you end up losing.
