Clever move from Catterall. If the winner vacates he gets a shot at an open belt. If the winner doesn't vacate he gets a shot at being undisputed champ. A win win really.

Aye, and he gets paid for it too. Not a bad outcome for him at all.

Just on the subject of Catterall, I really rate him but he’s treaded water for the past couple of years. Showed he’s above domestic level against the likes of Ohara, McKenna, Hughes and Nurse but he’s going to fall short when he fights a world level operator. There’s been no step up. Needs to back himself and jump in with someone who will ask him a few questions and learn some tricks rather than sitting on his mandatory.

I think they know what level he really is so its a win win for him. Get a paid to step aside and will get a shot. Just maximised his earnings really.

I think Taylor stops Ramirez in the final third of the fight after working over his body to that point. Ramirez is rough and tough but eats too much leather to be any real threat to Taylor.

I actually think that Catterall v Ramirez would be a humdinger with Ramirez stopping Catterall late but, Taylor makes relatively light work of Catterall as the disparity in skill levels is pretty wide.

Aye, I think he had the potential to go further but he’s not moved on and been quite inactive at times.

Apparently Catterall is going to be co main event and do a face off with the winner of the main event in the ring.
